Il Posto Accanto
Lowy has known of this wonderful establishment for years. The owners, Beatrice & Julio, have cared for this establishment and it's customers for almost 20 years. Their personalities are every bit a part of the decor - as warm and friendly as "old" New York gets. That environment is now magnified with three antique framed mirrors from Julius Lowy.
The Italian translation for "il posto accanto" is "the place next door". In 1995 Beatrice began plating her combination of rich ingredients with loving preparation in NYC. Il Posto Accanto is an elegantly decorated wine bar with an extensive Italian small plates menu served by a friendly a knowledgeable staff. They stock a large variety of Italian wines and offer them in a casual bar atmosphere, perfect for a night out with friends or an after-work drink.
