Gary Erbe Tricks the Eye With a Dose of Pop Culture
Click above to read about Lowy's relationship with Gary Erbe in this article from the New York Times.

New Jersey self-taught artist Gary Erbe is a master of trompe l’oeil, an art technique that gives an illusion of uncannily super realism. Erbe has been collaborating with Lowy on framing solutions that act as extensions to the themes of his art, often having us carve objects contained in his paintings to make each frame uniquely relevant to the subject. He often turns to the Lowy team for help with profiles, ornament, and patina to accomplish these successful marriages of frame and painting.

It has been a pleasure to help Erbe add drama and meaning to his art throughout the years by making the frame a part of his story. Working with him on framing is similar to being a choreographer or producer collaborating with the artist storyteller.
